Twas the Twilight Before Christmas

Twas the Twilight before Christmas when all through the town
Alice Cullen was listening to hear a sound
Renesmee's stocking was hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that a puppy would be placed there

Renesmee was nestled all snug in her bed
While visions of her first Christmas danced in her head
And I in my Jersey, and Bella in her cap
Had just readied ourselves for a thunderous crack

When out in the woods there arose such a clatter
I sprang quickly forward to see what was the matter
Away through the forest I flew like a flash
Then ran back to Bella and tried not to be rash

The sun was shining persistently through a thin layer of clouds, and it made our pale skin reflect like diamonds; Carlisle’s hair seemed to glow in the early evening light.
